FAQ
What is the advantage of an EPP insulating box compared to a polystyrene box?
The KÄNGABOX® is made of EPP (expanded polypropylene), which is more stable and robust than polystyrene (EPS). EPP is impact and scratch resistant, lightweight, and offers excellent insulating properties, making it a sustainable alternative to polystyrene boxes.
Are EPP thermal boxes waterproof?
No, EPP thermal boxes are not waterproof. The material can absorb up to 2% water. For transporting liquids, we recommend using suitable containers or bags.
What does "smoothly lined inside" mean for the KÄNGABOX® Professional?
The inner surface of the KÄNGABOX® Professional is fused to create a smooth surface. This makes cleaning the box easier and ensures simple, thorough cleaning.
How long does the thermal box keep the contents cold or warm?
The KÄNGABOX® has excellent insulating properties. On average, the temperature inside the box changes by 1 °C per hour when optimally filled. Further details can be found in our temperature test .
Can food be placed directly into the boxes?
Yes, the KÄNGABOX® is food-safe and can be used without hesitation for direct contact with food. It complies with the requirements of EU Regulations (EC) No. 1935/2004 and (EU) No. 10/2011 as well as the German Food Code. However, liquids should be transported in suitable containers.
Can the KÄNGABOX® be manufactured with my own logo?
Yes, the KÄNGABOX® can be customized to your specifications, for example with company logos, advertising imprints, laser engravings, special formats, and custom colors. Options for custom logos include domed self-adhesive labels on the lid, laser engraving, or placing your logo on the lid instead of the KÄNGABOX® logo. Contact us for a custom order .
